Mangalore Monsoon Masti

What could be the best attraction than the sea food of Mangalore on the chilled breezy beaches! Whoa .... and imagine the feeling on a rainy day with dark clouds sweeping across the gigantic sea waves that makes the waters more violent driving them crazy, lashing against the huge rocks on the shore. We traveled in August to celebrate dear Chander's birthday and double the happiness with monsoon masti....eeee...hooowww!! This is the journey through the zig-zaggy ghat road, swirling you left and sometimes to the right.
Here is the view of the mountain peaks covered with fog in the midst of the ghats.
A halt on the overbridge will give you a glimpse of an underbridge where water flows silently with an aim to unite the sea.
As we headed, we came across the Ganesh Processions where locals danced and enjoyed the immersion with full zeal and enthusiasm, least bothered about the downpour of rains.
This path led to the Penumbur Beach.
Here, the crows are feasting on baby crabs on the shore.
It feels like heaven, open, vast, free, wild, the sound of waves, the chill in the air, simply nothing to do, but gaze at each wave beckoning to join it but waves away smiling in the sea, as if challenging us that I can't chase it ever.
As the waves caught with them for long time, missed entering the church which closed at 5.30 p.m.
So, we just passed through the wild woods, endless lanes that were covered with wet soil, flowers and leaves soaked in the tiny rain drops.
It was happiness when waves kissed the sand covered feet.
We retruned promising the waves that we will come back and will miss the beach dazzzz.
