Pune diaries brings you the long and fantastic fort trek at Lohagad. We have been on long treks over hills and mountains but fort trek brings in a novel experience.
The fort has many entries or darwaza 'Ganesh darwaja (Lord Ganesh entrance gate);Narayan darwaja, Hanuman Darwaja and Maha-Darwaja. Vinchukata (Scorpion's tail) reminds us of 'SanjeevniMachi 'of Rajgad. We passed the malvali station to reach the fort @ 11 am on Sunday. The climate was quite sultry and hot which was unexpected for a windy October day.
The steps leading the fort were uneven, but as we know, 'Bad roads lead to good places'. We continued the trails and covered the main points within the fort.
The view from the top is amazing.
